Steve Dutton and the Wisconsin Celebrate Recovery Leadership Team about the Chicago Training Conference on May 5th and 6th. You can get discounted registration for the event if you register at CRConferences.com by the early bird deadline of April 16th, so move fast!
Second, online recovery meetings are now here, scheduled each Wednesday at 2 PM Central Time! These events might be helpful for those who can’t catch our Monday night meeting due to travel, or anything that has you stuck in place (Covid? RSV? Sprained ankle? Sick kids? Car troubles?). He told the story of one of his leadership team that couldn’t attend meetings live because of surgery, but she is planning on attending the online group while she recovers. Kind of a cool option to keep you grounded in addition to the Monday night meeting.
Third, if you have not heard any CR podcasts yet, they are amazing! Steve Dutton tells us that he plays them while he is painting walls or hanging drywall at work, and that they are a great way to catch up on some timely topics and hear from Rodney and his guests. Scott Kemp has done at least one podcast with Rodney that was really good.
Fourth, be reminded that the monthly Wisconsin Zoom leadership meetings are open to all of us. State Leadership is hoping for greater participation and has invited any of our leadership (yes, that means YOU!) to join into the call. It’s a great way to keep up with what’s happening in CR at the state level. Here’s the list for the upcoming Zoom on Wednesday, April 5:
- Mental Health Initiative and Champions
- Chip night procedures/ideas/discussion
- Testimony Training/State List
- Update from Scott Kemp (NC District Rep)
- Open discussion/Q&A
